Andy’s Coming Back!
The new trailer for Toy Story 4 came out early last week and its everything Disney fans have been talking about lately. In the trailer, all the original characters are shown, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex and the whole gang, but a new character has been induced, Forky, which seems to be a confused spork with pipe wires for arms and legs. Forky has conflict within himself trying to decide whether he is a spork or a toy, finding out so would mean he’d find his purpose.
Pixar has been able to produce 3 successful movies in the Toy Story but will this movie also be a hit? Many fans of the original 3 movies are expecting a lot from this movie.
Like me, I’ve watched all the Toy Story movies growing up and for a new one to be coming out my inner childish self is excited.
All jokes aside, with more people speaking about how you can choose your own purpose, this new character having issues wanting to fulfill a purpose based on standards of what they are, Disney has high bar set for them.
Many people personally agree that anyone can set their own goals in life, but with many young adults going to see a movie that reminds them of their childhood, they may be impacted with how this character tackles feeling like an outsider not being entirely a toy nor a spork. It will be controversial topic of discussion once the movie premiers June 21,2019 of whether the producers choose for Forky to be a toy, or whoever they want to be.
