When it comes down to this polarizing policy, there are many conflicting opinions. But, is it necessary? Maybe…

According to South Broward dress code policy clothing that exposes belly, thigh, back, and shoulders is inappropriate.

Isabella Yzusqui thinks that it isn’t fair that girls can’t wear spaghetti straps , shorts , and leggings.

On the other hand Mrs. Brown {office administer} thinks that girls need to cover themselves because dressing in the wrong way will attract the wrong attention .

Jamil Cime confirms this by saying “I ain’t gon’ lie we do target girls who expose more skin.”

Instead of punishing those who act out against girls, young women are punished and told that by dressing freely they are attracting the wrong attention.

“Dress code isn’t reasonable… nobody will get pregnant off of showing skin.”

Is it really fair that we are being punished? Instead of telling young men that young women are not their personal toys, they are told that the way you dress is provoking harassment.

So is dress code based on protecting the rights of females or is it about sexualizing females.
