I remember everyone telling me that I should play basketball because I was always the tallest person in my class. Then, I thought about it because there weren’t a lot of tall people in my grade I started playing basketball. It wasn’t really that hard because I was 6 foot, and everyone else was 5’4 or shorter. After elementary, and middle school, I was still the tallest kid in my grade and I didn’t stop playing basketball. I ended up trying out for the Junior Varsity basketball team and Varsity team and I made both teams during my freshman year, and became one of the best players on the JV team averaging 16.9 points per game, and 12 rebounds per game. Being tall is really a big blessing, now that I am 6’6, I can do more now, and everything is so much easier. My name is James Prudhomme and I’m telling you my story of being tall.
