Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders is a club that has a group of students and teachers who: create fundraising events, help students at school with academics, and many more. A short abbreviation for the club is MTL; it is an easier way of saying the club’s name. About 50 kids attend the club after school at South Broward High, and they meet in the school’s library. MTL was invented in the 1980s.  A student named Marvin, who attends the club after school says, “The club is a really helpful place because a lot of students that need help in school, and at home will come or talk to one of the teachers there and will get helped with the issues they have.” More new students attend everyday because a lot of students want help or want to help people that are in need. When they fundraise, MTL saves the money they’ve collected; MTL uses this money to go on trips like: Miami Heat games and visits to the zoo. If your reading this, then you should attend the Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders club’s meetings after school at South Broward High. The meetings start at 3pm; meetings are Monday-Thursday.
