With the season winding down the South Broward Varsity basketball team had their last home game on Tuesday January 23, 2018. The evening started off with the forever lasting tradition senior night ceremony where all senior students on the team are accompanied by their family or friends to celebrate the players and all the accomplishments they have made this past year, “It was a beautiful way to start off the night” one of the players said. Once the ceremony was over both teams warmed up and shortly after the big game began. The starting five lineup for first quarter was Eldric Harris, Amir Whitehead, Collin Hart, Brandon Markus and Willie Jones .The first quarter started off with Eldric Harris doing the jump ball in which we then got possession of the ball and the team working well together to stay in the lead first quarter. Second Quarter other players like Syncere Johnson, Blair Clair, Chandler Mack, Armoni Benjamin and Alphonso Reliford, were then put in the game to keep the momentum going and to use key players like Syncere Johnson and Armoni Benjamin on the defensive side to keep the Cowboys from scoring. Throughout third quarter Chandler Mack and Amir Whitehead were killing the free throw line and making most of their shots in helping the team stay in the lead. By the fourth quarter our Bulldogs still with much enthusiasm and devotion were ready to take this win at home and were not willing to go out without a fight especially on their senior night. By the end of fourth quarter the bulldogs ended the game close, but they still did what they came out to do that night and that was to beat the cowboys 55-51.
