  “South Broward High School is a marine science magnet school located in Hollywood, Florida. The school is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district.”

South Broward has been existing since, 1913. And, since 2016 has a population of 2,253 students. Students that attend South Broward have many opportunities handed to them like, dual enrollment, and extracurricular activities. According to usnews, SBHS’ graduation rate is, 87%.

  Tami Jean a senior at, South Broward transferred from a Miami-Dade school this 2017-2018 school year. South Broward has made her able to achieve great things that, she never believed would be possible in her previous school.

She now gets good grades, and participates in after school and extracurricular activities. “I wish I came here for my first three years of high school,”  said Jean.This school has impacted me and I have a great group of friends that surround me and help me.” South Broward has helped Jean, to prepare for college and to understand the expectations from students and teachers.

  Nealona Roberts a freshman at South Broward chose to attend SBHS instead of Hallandale High, because of the science program and the higher graduation rate. Ever since she has been attending SBHS, she has met many amazing people, and has managed to make only A’s and B’s. “I feared that I wouldn’t be able to maintain my grades and I thought, that I wouldn’t manage to make any friends.”
