Whats All the Fuss About Fortnite?

Fortnite: Battle Royale is the most talked about video game right now. The strategic difficulty to win, yet simplicity of game rules is what keeps players hooked.

Fortnite: Save The World is the story and offline version of Fortnite: Battle Royale. The motive is to kill zombies, while 98% of the Earth’s population mysteriously disappeared. This costs $39.99, while Fortnite: Battle Royale is free, which could explain why it’s not as popular.

When Fortnite: Battle Royale was launched on July 25th, 2017 by Epic Games and People Can Fly, the game blew up and became everyone’s addiction.

The game begins with 100 people on a Battle bus, which flies over a graphic earth where you would then jump out and choose where to land so you can gather loot and materials to help you throughout the game to kill opponents. Loot is a variation of items, some of these items include guns, potions, med kits, bandages, and explosives. While you look for these items, you can break through walls, which give you materials to build with in case you need a cover, or to go up mountains, or to even build a huge fort.

Everyone in the game starts off with 100 health. Picking up and drinking potion gives you a shield which makes it harder to kill you.

The goal in the game is to be the last person standing.

You can play the game solo, in a duo, or in a squad up to 4 people. If you’re on a team, it’s the last team who survives to be the ones with a #1 victory Royale, or a win.

“Fortnite is super fun, but after my first win I realized i need to find a girlfriend because no one loves me.” Stated Sebastian Dick, a fortnite expert, explaining that he loves the game so much and that it’s very time consuming.

Up until recently, the game was only available on pc and consoles such as Xbox and PlayStation. Fortnite is now also available on iOS making it the #1 downloaded game in the AppStore right now. This means that now, you won’t have to wait to get home to play a match, instead, ready up at the grocery store!
