It was a sunny day, with clear skies ahead, which made for a perfect day to launch some rockets. The Aerospace Club hurried down to the flagpole eager to test out their designs. After four days building, two weeks learning the program and a couple months of planning, they were ready to finally put their creations to the test.

Stepan Jankowski, the founder and president of the club, wanted his team to learn about how different factors affect rocket performance. They also wanted to gain a better understanding of aeronautics, the science of travel though air.

“It is a prime time for aerospace, we are the astronaut generation, we’re are the ones who are going to travel to mars” said Jankowski.

After months of working things with administration they were successful in their first rocket launch. The students learned more about launching 3D rockets and are planning many more in the future.

“For anyone who is deciding whether or not to join, I say shoot for the sky!” said Connors Wellins, a freshmen member of the club.

Aerospace club meet every first and third Friday in room 764.
