This is Arin Cohen, a freshman here at South Broward High School.
Cohen was born in Israel but was raised in Florida. Her mother is Israeli, and her father is Cuban.
When she moved to Florida, only her mother and she came.
What makes South Broward special for Cohen is that she is one of the outstanding Bulldog Cheerleaders, and she gets to attend all the Junior Varsity and Varsity games football games. She did cheerleading in elementary school, and decided to join again because ‘’It’s very fun and it helps you make long-lasting friendships.’’
Cohen says she would like to stay in South Broward because she knows she will get a good education here.
When she grows up, she says she would like to work with children who have special needs, such as children with autism. Cohen says that it brings a smile to her face knowing that she will be giving back to her community.
Some places that Cohen has always dreamed of visiting are Dubai, Indonesia, Africa, Afghanistan, and Hawaii.
One thing that Cohen is hesitant to try is surfboarding because she is afraid of drowning and jellyfish. Despite her fears, she still wants to give it a shot soon. Another thing that she is afraid of is spiders. She says whenever she sees one, she gets chills all over her body!
