Humberto is a 17-year-old senior at South Broward High School who is passionate about sports - especially baseball. He is also interested in web designing. He has lived in Florida for five years. He is from Venezuela.
Although he did not sign up for this class, he is expecting to learn about journalism.
Academically Acosta is strong in science, and doesn't think he has an academic weakness.
"I don't really have any but if I had to choose it would be math," said Acosta.
He checks for news on social media sites such as Instagram. However it's only for short periods of times. Acosta doesn't like to spend a lot of time on the app. Outside of school Acosta trains for sports, and on any day you can catch him in gym shorts and a t-shirt.
If Acosta could have any super power it would be speed.
"I would want speed so I couldn't be late to things," said Acosta.
He enjoys eating shrimp, it's his favorite food. In ten years Acosta sees himself being a baseball player for the Yankees.
