Pink and red. Hearts everywhere. Love in the air.

Valentine’s day is supposed to be a day filled with love. Whether you spend a romantic picnic on the beach, a beautiful candlelit dinner, or even just being pampered and showered in gifts, it’s a time to enjoy with your loved one.

But that’s not always the case. Take for example a junior at South Broward (who asked to remain anonymous).

In 6th grade, she, in an act to show her affection, made brownies for her crush. However, after receiving her kind gesture, he wasn’t impressed. Right in front of her, the crush had taken her specially made fudge brownies and thrown them in the trash.

Her heart was broken.

“I was mad and embarrassed so I went for revenge,” she said and went into the garbage to remove every single brownie that her heartless crush discarded, putting them in his book bag.

When he discovered what she had done he went into a state of rage.

“He walked right over to me and my friends, pushed me and then threw a brownie at me,”anonymous said.

In response and in a fit of rage, she charged at him.

“Long story short we both got suspended that day,” said the girl.

If you thought that story was bad check this one out:

Senior Carlos David went through a similar heartbreak with his ex-girlfriend.

On the most loving day of the year, David had taken a trip to Wal-mart to buy his girlfriend the bear that she had been begging for a month now. He bought her the giant teddy bear, her favorite flowers, and a promise ring. On his way there he was beyond excited to see his girlfriend’s reaction.

When he got to her house he was met with a very unexpected surprise.

“All I heard was music coming from her room so I’m thinking maybe she still getting ready cause I was an hour early,” David said.

Turns out David’s girlfriend hadn’t even begun getting ready. David had entered into his girlfriend’s room to see her with another boy.

“Man I was hot I almost stuck buddy in his jaw. I had to get out that house quick,” he said.

He left and took his gifts with him. David says he ended up taking the gifts home and giving them to his mother, who was certainly surprised and satisfied with her son’s gifts. The bear is still in her room to this day.

“I hate seeing that teddy bear in my momma’s room, reminds me of that day every time I look at it.”
