Isaac Velez

When it comes to wearing a mask Isaac Velez is always on board. He does not play around with his and his loved one’s safety. 

As an essential worker at Pollo Tropical, Velez not only comes into close contact with people but also their food. Wearing a mask ensures other’s safety. 

“Of course, in our household, we do not participate in the mask-wearing,” said Velez, “but, whenever we step outside the door the mask is on at all times to avoid the virus.”

His two favorite masks are ones he ordered online: a transformers mask and an army fatigue mask. 

“They fit better and do not irritate the back of my ears,” said Velez. 

Wearing a mask hasn’t greatly affected the way he interacts with people. Although from time to time, he needs them to speak up.
