All I Want for Christmas is : The Pandemic to be Over

For a 51-year-old man, Vincent Palmieri’s Christmas list is as simple as it gets: a new water bottle, new shoes and work shirts. But, there is one thing he wants that money can’t buy and that’s for the pandemic to be over.

“This year has been crazy and all we can really hope for is for the pandemic to calm down so people can get back to normal lives sometime soon,” said Palmieri.

He says that it is so important that we try to figure out how to help and put an end to this pandemic. He works in the healthcare industry and has seen the toll it has taken on, not only doctors, but the whole healthcare industry. It has made him look at things differently.

“Not only has everyone been affected by this pandemic, but people have lost their lives and in some cases both of their parents,” said Palmieri.

He says that this pandemic being over would help not only our country as a whole, but it can also help our country pick up where we left off. 

“With the roll out of the COVID vaccine, I have hope that everyone will do the right thing and get the vaccine which will eventually eliminate the virus,” said Palmieri.

He talks about how he hopes for this to be a nationwide effort and for people to come together. He hopes people will do the right thing, because it is finally time to do so.

“My expectation is that this will start immediately and finish up by summer of 2021, but who really knows?” said Palmieri.
