The SBHS Football Team Makes History

South Broward High School’s football team made history this year by winning two rounds of the playoffs, which secured a spot in the championship game. Unfortunately, they lost the first round of the playoffs to St Thomas High School.

They started off to a rough start when their first game against Miramar High School was canceled, and they took a loss in their first full game against Hallandale High. They did pull a good amount of wins during the season, beating Everglades with a whopping score of 35-0. For the bulldogs to pull this out all the way through with so many restrictions during the pandemic was shocking.

In the previous football season of the school year 2019-2020, the Bulldog’s went to the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. Head Coach Shapiro said that it was not the best but was the most favored season. Seeing everybody working together as a team, and playing all four quarters is heartwarming. Isaiah Francois, #10,  said this is the most unproblematic season he has ever seen, everybody got along, and really had Bulldog pride this year. He along with his other teammates, plan to come back to the bulldog family in the spring season.
