Art Week

January 22 through the 26th was perhaps the most artistic week of the year. That’s right, it was art week. A week that showcased all the art work SBHS students had to offer.

Art week was a week to showcase all forms of art available in our very own school. It was a week in which students could appreciate the talents of their fellow classmates. It included many fun activities and shows. All ranging from band performances in the hallways, to singing in the library.

Kiara Calero, our local freshman and musical theater student, couldn’t get enough of it all. “My favorite part of art week was the drama club.” says Calero. “The people in the club put in so much time and effort into their pieces and it really shows when they perform.”

Unless your in some form of “art” class, it truly is hard to see how hard these students work every day. Judging by all the beautiful art pieces shared, the talents of these students are now known. All thanks to art week.

Raquell Bilbao, an art student, definitely agrees. “What surprised me the most is the dedication students put into their art and how amazing they did.” said Bilbao.
