Ma’kaylah Hobson is a 15-year-old sophomore at South Broward High School. She took journalism her freshman year at McArthur High School and wanted to continue to take it at South Broward.

She lives in Margate and moved a lot in her childhood, which made her miss her friends a lot. She likes the nickname Kaylah.

Her favorite movie is "Malibu Most Wanted" and her favorite book is "The Girl with the Silver Eye” by Willo Davis Roberts. Her favorite hobbies are drawing and dancing. Her favorite singer is Nikki Minaj, and she enjoys watching Netflix on the weekends.

Hobson thinks the hardest part of online school is solving out the technical glitches she runs into every day. She doesn't know much about computers which makes it tough for her.

Hobson looks up to her aunt because when she puts her mind to it, she can get anything done. She’s learned a lot from her aunt’s determination and offers the same advice to anyone who will listen.

“Don't let anyone tell you can’t do something you can do whatever you set your mind to,” said Hobson.
