Meah Alvarez is a freshman at South Broward high school. Meah took journalism this year to advance her skills in writing, so she is more educated and prepared for college and other events in her life. she was born January 7 and has been doing art and music for as long as she can remember.
Meah hasn’t moved around a bit as a kid. She moved from Arkansas to Massachusetts but for kindergarten she moved to Florida, and she’s lives here since. she enjoys Florida and the people she knows here. but, she one day hopes to move to Boston and continue her career dream as a multimedia artist.
in her spare time Meah loves to read books, watch movies, paint, and draw. her favorite books right now are the shining, the outsider, a whisper in the mist, and house of leaves. Meah enjoys reading and art the most because it’s a big stress reliever for her. she often gets bad anxiety around groups of people, so just doodling on a paper or reading a magazine really helps.
One of the things Meah has a problem with is focusing, which causes trouble with online schooling. She gets it all done in the end, but she often spaces out. With that, she gets confused and needs to ask for extra help. That’s another reason why she loves reading and art, it’s the one thing she’s always been able to focus on.
