Paola Perez is a 16-year-old junior at SBHS. Although Perez didn't choose this class, she is willing to learn about journalism further into the future. Perez was born in Hialeah but has spent most of her life growing up in Hallandale.
Her favorite song is "Fantasmas" by Amber Lucid, a famous American singer and songwriter. Perez has no hobbies and describes herself as a workaholic on very few occasions.
She likes to travel and has been to many different places such as New York, Madrid, and Mallorca. She says her greatest weakness is being around a crowd of loud people.
Many people tend to underestimate her before getting to know what she is capable of. Her most embarrassing moment was when she did a split in the middle of a bus.
She enjoys going to the gym with her boyfriend every now and then. Most people assume that she's mean, stuck up, and conceding.
As a child, she enjoyed playing hide and seek in the dark with neighborhood friends. Some of her favorite things to do are watching funny videos on Tiktok, especially about cute monkeys, and enjoying the music of Amber Lucid.
Two people that are important to her are her boyfriend, and best friend Britney. Perez feels that Britney is an older version of her.
Perez enjoys watching Monkey videos very often, watching animals be happy causes her emotional joyous tears.
Many people have complimented her on the positive energy that she surrounds herself with.
“We live on a floating rock in the middle of a galaxy, don't let anything nor anyone stop you from achieving your goals,” said Perez.
