Makeda Brown, a 17-year-old senior at South Broward High School. She was born and raised in Florida, she has never traveled to any other states.

“I feel like I haven't seen the rest of the world,” said Brown.

Not only does Brown go by her first name, she also goes by Keda.

Like every normal teenager, her favorite weekend activity is watching movies. If you ask her what her favorite movie is she’ll tell you,“Coraline,” a stop-action flick by Tim Burton from the ‘90s.

Brown's favorite dish is alfredo pasta. She loves all genre of music, except country and heavy metal.

“I don’t like country music or heavy metal because it  just doesn’t do it for me,” said Brown.

She took journalism as a second option, but she still thought it was an interesting class to take. One of Brown’s hobbies is reading, especially mystery books.

“My favorite book is basically the whole Mortal Instruments series,” said Brown.

The hardest thing about online school for Brown is staring at the computer too much, because it gives her headaches. English is still one of her easiest classes.

When she was younger, she loved to play a board game called ,“lies” because it made her feel like she was a grown up. She laughs at awkward moments and situations and gets anxiety by being around large crowds

Brown looks up to her mom a lot, because she's taught her many things from a young age.

Her favorite quote is, “ Nothing lasts forever."

“Because sometimes in life, we forget that some things are only put in our life to teach us a lesson and leave,” said Brown.
