3 Great Whites Roaming the Florida Waters
Recently, 2 great white’s have been roaming the Florida shores and there’s another one on the way.
Ocearch, an organization built to help scientists collect data about the ocean, received a ping from multiple great whites nearby. One of them was the popular Katherine who has made the area her new winter home.
Katherine is 12 feet, 2 inches, weighing 2,300 lbs. She is now currently just North of Jupiter and is quickly headed South.
Nova, another great white, has already made it down South and is lurking off the coast of Duck Key located in the Florida Keys. Nova weighs under 1,200 lbs. He is a full grown adult at 11 feet.
Last but not least, the last great white is called Jefferson. He’s the largest of the group, at 12 feet, 7 inches. He was last seenĀ in Jacksonville, heading to warmer waters.
