AJ Sanders

South Broward is notorious for its diversity. There is so much talent hidden in plain sight that we don’t even acknowledge the great talents. One hidden talent is AJ. He is in the band and loves his peers as if they are family.

He has loved music since he was little and wants to create his own music to express himself. He is also passionate about music, his grandpa used to play instruments in all forms. His grandpa was a huge role model in his life.

“Some feelings I can’t explain so I play music to express how I feel,” AJ states.

When he talks you could hear the love for music in his voice.  His parents support the fact that he is engaged in music.

However, the biggest problem he is facing is his grades.

He said, “grades are like weights, you have to get used to lifting them.”

Yet, through all the hassle he still loves South Broward.

“Kids don’t show the respect that this school shows them, they think things are obligated to have something,” he claimed. 

The biggest problem he has witnessed are kids having drugs. “Drugs show no love,” AJ declared.
