All I want for Christmas is: Equality

Lawrenceville High School freshmen Kyran Seitzinger has a very basic Christmas list for a 14-year-old boy. But one thing he wishes for that can’t be bought in a store is equality.

“I’ve seen all the injustice online and on the news and I don’t think any of it is right at all,” Seitzinger said.

“POC are being killed, LGBTQ+ are being beaten, and anyone that is not white experiences racism everyday,” he said.

“An unarmed black person would get shot, and killed by a police officer but if it was a white person and that person was armed and dangerous nothing would happen,” said Seitzinger.

He said minorities should be just as equal as a white person, but they don’t want everyone to be equal. They want minorities to stay minorities.

“Everyone should be equal no matter the skin color, because we are all human and we all bleed red,” said Seitzinger.
