All I Want for Christmas Is: Motivation
Like any typical gamer SBHS Gabriel Palmer,17, is quick to answer the question ‘What do you want for Christmas?’ with a prompt: “The PS5 for sure.”
But, if you dig a little deeper and ask him what he would want if it didn’t come from a store, the answer might surprise you.
“I’d ask for motivation, for everybody,” Palmer said confidently.
He says motivation drives people to get their goals done. And with the pandemic, it’s severely lacking this year. Especially for high school seniors.
“Motivation adds meaning and accomplishment to what you do, and to me, there’s no better feeling than hard work paying off,” Palmer explained.
The gym is where Palmer says he feels the most motivated.
“When I’m in the gym, it feels like no one can stop me,” he said.
On the other hand, school is where he says he’s the least motivated.
“Yeah… that’s something to talk about another day,” he said with a laugh.
He says motivation for everyone would bring society to become more and more productive.
“And well, who doesn’t want that?”
