All I Want For Christmas is: Peace
Stacey-Ann Laing’s Christmas list any other year is always quite average. It’s always the usual: sneakers, clothes and pocketbooks. This year though, she desires something else, something that you cannot go in to a store and purchase or something that can be bought online. She wants the greatest gift and that’s peace.
“It is important to have peace because it gives peace of mind,” said Laing. “It reduces stress and keeps me calmer. It gives me happier belonging, and it allows me to find what works best for me.”
Laing also said she wishes peace upon her daughter, husband, friends, family, and well wishers. She also expressed that peace would happen if people would have a reasoning ability, not be so violent all the time, and just simply being respectful to others.
“I think peace can happen in your home when you avoid arguments, compact situations and avoiding hostility. I also think that people argue and fight because they have a lot of built up emotions that they need to let out, and even when they’re feeling insecure,” she said.
Laing also said that she thinks peace would happen when people start coming to their senses and figuring out that we are human beings with a bunch of similar traits. Judging and fighting over idiotic stuff is just not going to solve anything.
“We should also just mind our business once it doesn’t involve us, I’m very sure that bring a lot of peace in the world,” she said.
