All I Want For Christmas Is: Peace

Neveah Fertil is a senior at South Broward High School. Her Christmas list is atypical for an 18-year-old. The one and only thing she is asking for that is different? is a piece of peace.

“Peace for all. Because we’re all for peace,” said Fertil.

She believes more peace in the world would be very heartwarming for everyone.

“I would like to achieve this because it will help everyone lead and live a happier lifestyle,” said Fertil.

 She said that more peace in the world is important to her because of her personal experience of not having it. Her life can sometimes become hectic and stressful. And she knows peace isn’t something we all have easy access to. But, what she is striving for is that we all discover our stress reliever. 

 “Implement peaceful practices,” said Fertil.

 She believes that people aren’t naturally driven to hurt others intentionally and that we all have a nurturing and caring side to us. She says that if everyone were more understanding, considerate, and overall nicer to each other, the world would be a more peaceful place.  Although she believes conflict cannot be fully eradicated, she does believe that we can work towards world peace, one person at a time.

 “I believe I can conquer this by starting with me,” said Fertil.
