Andrea Torres, Volleyball Star

“My name is Andrea Torres and I’m a volleyball star. I’m fifteen years old and I’m a freshman at Hollywood Hills High School. I live with my mom, dad, and my two sisters. When I grow up I want to be a pediatrician, but if that doesn’t work out I would like to join the navy. I moved here from Puerto Rico three years ago and the change was a struggle for me. I had to learn a whole new language and make all new friends at my school. It was a fresh start. My family moved to Florida because they wanted to live a better life and restart a new journey. I’m glad we moved because if we didn’t I would have never started playing volleyball. I started playing volleyball when I was nine years old and I never been so passionate about something in my life.”
