Caracol

A betta fish has become my best friend. On my birthday, September 5th, a very good friend of mine gave me a boy betta fish as a gift. I named him Caracol. “Caracol” is Spanish for seashell. I’ve had an attachment to the ocean all my life. Seashells to me symbolizes fragility and peace. A simple pet has brought so much meaning into my life. I have learned to value life in its purest form, even from the smallest plant to the biggest animal. I have a companion that does not speak. Learning how to value a little fishe’s life has given me a lot of wisdom. Seeing how Caracol lives on instinct only, without a care in the world, has enlightened me on how to deal with my own stess.
