Dan Hart, Business Owner

Dan Hart, a father of four, lives in Hollywood, Florida. He owns a mill working business on the east coast of the U.S.A. Hart’s upset about how the pandemic rules have hurt his business.

Hart hasn’t been able to make deals face to face and has to do business over the phone. He doesn’t like this way of finalizing deals.

Normally, he would go to the client’s house and check where they want it done. He would then take down the dimensions and get right to work after getting back to his warehouse. Now, he has to schedule a date to go out to the job site and take down dimensions. This holds him back an extra couple of days.

With the coronavirus, he has to think about the risks of going into the buildings.

“My team of installers cannot get into the building because they say only 2 guys at a time can go into the building,” Hart said.

Before COVID-19, Hart didn’t have a problem wearing a mask for his job. He has to wear a mask because he uses dangerous chemicals in his warehouse. But now he says he can’t stand it. However, he does it or the people around him that he works with every day.

When Hart installs, he has to have guys come next to each other to pick up a 600-pound piece of wood. This makes it hard to social distance.

He doesn’t care what he uses to cover his face when he goes to the store, or in areas that require masks to worn.

“I just use whatever I find in my car or I have my blue sleeve that goes on my head,” he said.
