Kayah Garbutt
Kaya Garbutt, a student at South Broward High School, says she does wear a mask, but not often.
“I don’t wear it often, because I don’t go anywhere unless I have to,” she said, “I usually wear it to stores.”
For her, wearing a mask changed her interaction with people.
“I do find myself making more eye contact because it’s a bit unusual talking with a mask on,” said Garbutt.
She favors a classic mask: black and reusable.
“My favorite mask is the all black and reusable masks,” she said, “I find the color cool, but being able to reuse them is better and far more efficient.”
She thinks that masks will be worn until they find a vaccine against the virus.
“Even until then we should still wear them as a precautionary measure in case something goes wrong with the effectiveness of the vaccine,” said Garbutt.
