KeyShawna Hilton, Healthcare Worker

KeyShawna Hilton, 25,  is a college graduate. Hilton works at Midwest Staff and Solutions as a geriatric nurse. She thinks that the coronavirus has made a major impact on our whole economy. As a healthcare worker, she had to work all throughout the whole pandemic.

Hilton works at a nursing home. She has seen some of her patients who have tested positive, end up dying.

“The worst part of the virus are people getting sick and dying,” she said, “I have seen over 10 people die from the virus.”

For her job, it’s mandatory for her to wear a mask, but she also wears one outside of work.

“I wear them when I have to, usually anytime I have to interact with people I wear them,” said Hilton.

Not only is the virus forcing her to risk her health, but it is also affecting her funds. She has a four-year-old and sometimes she can’t find child care and has to call off work.

“I wish things would go back to normal so people can live their lives again and hang out with friends and be with family,” said Hilton.
