Kristina Sanders

11-year-old Kristina Sanders loses everything: her school books, her socks, her headband. Now she has one more thing she has to worry about not losing, her mask.

Sanders feels good about wearing a mask. She doesn’t want to catch anything. At first, she wasn’t sure it was necessary for kids her age to wear a mask. As soon as she heard that children were catching the virus she took masks seriously.

‘’Masks are very new to me, but it keeps me safe,” she said, “so, I’m going to do anything to keep myself safe.’’

Sander says that the people who don’t wear masks, and those who pull their mask down just to talk to people are putting everybody in danger.

She believes that we will be wearing masks until 2021.

Sander thinks that six feet distance is great, but people should actually stand that far apart. She tries to distance herself from crowds and people.

Sanders says that it is hard for her to understand what people are saying now because of the mask. Social distancing is even harder.
