Ludie Rimpel

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, Ludie Rimpel is just one of countless mothers who are now changing their daily lives to protect her family and others around her. Since COVID-19 is spreading in her general vicinity, she is sure to limit close contact with her friends and her family.

“The objective is to keep feelings of anxiety low” said Rimpel.

Rimpel has been really good about her hygiene and awareness of bacteria since the virus. She consistently cleans her hands with alcohol-based hand rubs or washes them. While abstaining from touching her eyes, nose and mouth, and she is also mindful of the individuals around her.

For Mrs. Rimpel, the vulnerability encompassing Coronavirus is the hardest thing to deal with. She worries about how much longer the COVID-19 outbreak will last and hopes it won’t affect her or her loved ones. In times of stress, Rimpel turns to her faith for comfort. She says that praying makes her feels safe and gives her temporary relief.

“Unless its my time to die, the virus can’t touch me if I have God on my side.” said Rimpel.

Another activity she does to take her mind off of the lock-down is cooking. Learning from YouTube formulas, she creates delicious meals for her family and forgets about the pandemic going on outside.

Something Rimpel is grateful for is that she has a roof over her head, food to eat, and people who love her. The lock-down has given her an opportunity to reflect on things that she didn’t have much time to think about before. She says that she’s become more acquainted with her genuine self because she’s been ignoring in light of the fact that “I have no time”.

While it has done her some good, Rimpel can’t wait until quarantine is over. She wants to do better with her life than stay at home. When quarantine is over , she says she will still be wary of who she surrounds herself with. COVID-19 has thought Rimpel a lot about self-awareness and hygienic safety.
