Mr.Jimenez

Mr.Jimenez is a marine science teacher here at South Broward. He has been teaching marine science for 18 years. He has always loved the ocean as a kid and it was important to him growing up. He was inspired to become a teacher by his own marine science teacher. He believes that the oceans are very significant to our world. “The ocean is where we get our food and medicines and other resources.” Our oceans are in danger and he not only wants to make a difference himself, but he also wants his students getting involved. 

He has seen many students go on and help out the oceans. “One of the most memorable impacts my students have had is when one of them made a T.V. show that educated children on marine science.”Mr.Jimenez not only loves the ocean, but he also enjoys volleyball. He often likes to play on the beach.

He is also the coach for the boys and girls volleyball team. He has taken the boys to state competitions. Last year, the boys team made it to state finals where they won two games and lost three. Mr.Jimenez is very passionate about both volleyball and marine science. He is a loved teacher and coach here at SBHS.
