Nancy Ortiz

Nancy Ortiz, a 45-year-old mother of two, was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She moved to Chicago, Illinois. As a teenager, she moved to Hollywood, Florida with her three siblings and her father.

Ortiz has been a nurse for 25 years, as well as a part-time Lyft driver for two years.

As a nurse wearing a mask is a normal thing. But not 24/7.

Now, Ortiz has to wear her mask when she’s outside or in public. At times it is stressful for her, but if it helps keep her and others safe and healthy she can deal with it.

“I don’t like it when others don’t do their part to help our country get healthier because it’s selfish,” she said.
