Pros and Cons to Being Quarantined

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) gives off flu-like symptoms at first, with a terrible cough, or even a high fever but this is far worse and can cause a person to have breathing issues.

A lot of jobs and stores have or are going to be closed, shelves are empty as people are purchasing supplies. People are being quarantined meaning there is a restriction of movement, so everyone is told to stay home to prevent from spreading this virus.

Being quarantined isn’t fun everyone is stuck in their home every day so eventually, it will get boring. Adults can probably adapt to a situation like this but as a teen, it’s very difficult to stay home every day. Teenagers want to hang out with their friends, go to the movies, go to the mall, or go shopping.

On top of being quarantined students now have to continue their school year with online school. Online school is easier because you have a good amount of time before the assignments are due and we’re home right next our bed. Unfortunately it’s still school and what teenager likes doing school work.

On the positive side we can benefit from being inside. All of us have too much screen time with our electronics anyway so we can start exercising, like going for a run or creating your own workout routine which is something teens don’t usually do.

A good suggestion is to work on your creativity. Learn how to draw, paint, or sew. These are creative and relaxing activities which you can participate in and enjoy to soothe your mind and body. The most important thing a teen can learn to do is cook because you will be doing that your entire life especially when you get older.

When the quarantine is lifted I’m going out to eat and have some fun with my friends and family like I used to and then of course treat and pamper myself.
