Vaping Is Not for Rubin Obas

Vaping is affecting thousands of teens today. Almost 37% of teenagers vape, this does not include Rubin Obas, who thinks it’s bad for your health. 

‘‘I don’t want to die,’’ said Obas.

Obas believes that vaping is addictive and the CDC agrees. According to a study done by the CDC, using nicotine in adolescence may also increase the risk for future addiction to other drugs. 

Vaping is affecting students’ lives across the country and can later lead to more deadly diseases, like cancer.

 “Both smoking cigarettes and vaping are not healthy for you,” said Obas. 

Obas has a friend that vapes, but won’t stop the person from vaping.

 “It’s not my decision to make the person stop,” said Obas. 

He really doesn’t think it’s right for teenagers to vape.

 “Vaping can shorten people’s lives and can damage their lungs,’’ said Obas.

Obas believe that South Broward High School doesn’t have a problem with vaping.

“Other schools are much worse,’’ said Obas.
