Jazmyn Blanchard a SBHS junior believes that Chauvin’s verdict was very well deserved but thinks just like George Zimmerman, Chauvin’s would’ve walked freely if it was not for the Black Lives Matter movement.

“If George Floyd’s murder didn’t cause a uproar like it did then Chauvin’s would’ve walked away freely,” said Blanchard.

She is glad that the BLM movement was finally able to be heard.

“We the black community have been ignored for way too long,” says Blanchard.
