Why Don’t Some Christians Celebrate Christmas?

Who doesn’t love Christmas? Its the time of the year where everybody enjoys the holiday season and the magic that comes along with it or at least that what many Christmas fanatics say, but don’t you know there are some people, such as Christians, who don’t celebrate Christmas.

If a vast majority of American citizens celebrate it then why not the rest of the U.S. population celebrate it? Well to begin, many celebrate Christmas because they see it as the birth date of Christ but nowhere in the bible does it mentions the birth date of Jesus Christ. Also, nowhere in the bible does it command or encourage people to celebrate Christmas. If the bible would have given Christ’s birth as occurring on December 25th, maybe the Christians would have put thought on celebrating it.

Lastly, if you research the true origins of Christmas in some theories it originally comes from the traditions of ancient Pagan festivals in honor of the Pagan Roman God Saturn and the ancient Pagan Sun God Mithra, the bible strongly condemns the worship of Pagan Gods and all man-made doctrines and ideologies that blinds us from the truth of his words.
