Jackson Wampler

Jackson Wampler, a freshman at South Broward High School, takes an interest in South Broward’s marine magnet program. Due to his passion for marine life he’s joined Shark club, Coral club, and Surfrider.

“We only have one earth, we have to take care of it,” he said.

His interest in marine life all began because of his family. They tend to take snorkeling and scuba diving trips. His favorite trip that him and his family went on was in the Virgin Islands at a dive spot. It was his first recreational dive, making it even more exciting. He enjoyed seeing all the animals in that area. His favorite marine animal is the shark because it has no predators.

“There’s more then just a surface,” he said.

He and his little brother both share an interest in marine biology. Wampler wants to be as knowledgeable in marine life as his brother is. They spent time over the summer on the waters, with their dad who worked with the boy scouts.
