All I Want for Christmas is: Happiness
Usually, Nicole Prichici counts down the days until her favorite holiday. But, after facing a year filled with highs and lows, the one and only thing she is asking for this Christmas is happiness.
“This has been the saddest year yet,” she said. “All of us have had to adjust our lives to the new normal.”
Prichici has faced some challenges herself. One being, adjusting to online school. She could not find the motivation to get up and out of bed. Although she hated online schooling at first, Prichici has found some good in it.
“Having a positive mindset and doing little things throughout the day that make me happy has made the biggest difference in my mental health and my perspective on online school,” she said.
Prichici hopes that everyone around the world can receive some sort of happiness this season after facing a worldwide pandemic.
“I know a few people who have lost loved ones to COVID or have been majorly affected by it, and it breaks my heart,” she said.
She hopes that this holiday season, those who have struggled this year, can find a bit of happiness and forget all the troubles that came along with 2020.
“I can’t imagine losing a loved one during this time, my heart goes out to their families and I hope that even though they had a hard year that they can find a little joy in it,” she said.
