Diego Ayala-Cruz

Diego Ayala Cruz is a 15 year old sophomore at South Broward High School. He lives in Hollywood Florida. His greatest success is competing in a race at Hollywood Beach FL and finishing in 1st when he was in 5th grade and a year earlier competed for the same race and came in 3rd place.

“I have been running my whole life,” said Cruz.

When he was in 4th and 5th grade he was in a club dedicated to running and also was in track and practiced non-stop to try his best to become the best. He completed this goal through practice during and after school at a soccer field near his house and was motivated towards this goal

“I have been trying my best to become the best through much practice and having a positive mindset towards my goal”, said Cruz.

His family was completely supportive towards his goal including his friends as well.

“To become successful towards your goal you would need to do a lot of practice, have a motivated and confident mindset, and have a friend or family member or at least one person to be supportive of your goal,” said Cruz.
