Faith Augustin

Faith Augustin is a junior at South Broward High School. She loves the social aspect of school, the activities, the clubs, and the opportunities made available.

“I’m in clubs like Women of Tomorrow, National Honor Society, Black Student Union, and Mentoring tomorrow’s leader,” Augustin said.

But what she dislikes about school is the testing system, peer pressure, amount of work given, and the lack of mental health support.

“Self-care isn’t just physical but it’s also mental,” said Augustin. “I meditate, and also practice mindfulness.”

She values self-care. Every Sunday she does a face mask, exfoliates, and shaves.

“I spend two hours in the shower,” she said.

If she could change one thing in the world it would be how people treat each other.

“People are just so rude and mean, like you get no cool points for being mean to people,” said Augustin.

She would like to have a career in sports medicine, or athletic training.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be content with life until I fulfill what I desire in life,” Augustin said.
