Lisyanet Bertot is an outstanding, and outgoing Senior here at South Broward High school. Lisyanet came to this school during her sophomore year and said: “this was the best academic decision I have made in my life.” Coming from McArthur High, she noticed a difference immediately. Not only has Lis made a ton of great friends, but she has also improved greatly in her academics and her GPA. Taking a variety of AICE classes, Bertot has proven to herself that she is more than willing to face new challenges. In her daily life, she loves to go on adventures, and explore places she has never been. “Home” for her, is the beach or being with her best friends. If she is not out having fun, she is at home playing with and taking care of her nephews. One of her biggest role models is her older sister, who she sees as a motherly figure, the two of them have trust and can talk about anything and everything.

In the future, Lisyanet hopes to have a degree and have her own apartment. “I want to learn how to be independent and teach myself how to live and face the world on my own,” says Bertot. Although she does not know what she wants to do when she is older, she knows that she wants to be successful and do something she is passionate about. Some of these passions include taking care of kids, helping animals, and photography.
