Anna Korochenskaya is an AICE photography student at South Broward High School. Her father is a lover of photography. At the age of 13, she came to the realization that this indeed was a passion passed on to her.

Korochenskaya began her work with an older, but still capable camera. Until about high school she never really took pictures for the purpose of photography- it was a more free visual of the world in her eyes. A way to show her peers the world along with its secrets and many hidden surprises.

High school is when met her greatest mentor, Mrs. Ostheim. As a member of the Art Academy, she teaches multiple classes: photography honors, AP photography, and AICE photography.

“Mrs. Ostheim pushes me more and more daily to meet my goals and to be accepted into good colleges to pursue my passions to better myself in the future,” said Korochenskaya. For her, AICE photography has been a journey filled with learning new material, picking up new skills and bettering her work. “AICE photo has been difficult but most definitely worth it.”

Korochenskaya plans on majoring in visual arts as a combination of drawing, photography, video, and film.

Without photography, Korochenskaya doesn’t know where she would be today but she is beyond grateful to be one of the many photographers in the world.
