The Music Performance Assessment (MPA), which music students practice for all year,was canceled on October 26, the day before MPA.

MPA is when bands perform in an environment which provides critical evaluation of its performance by noted experts in the field of band performance.All band members in District 15 are affected.At South Broward High School that includes drill team,color guard auxiliary,the band,and of course all of the instructors of each musical section.

Students and staff are feeling dejected because they worked so hard preparing.

”I’m very disappointed,” said Color Guard Coach Mr. Hopkins, “They worked very hard.”

Practice was everyday at a certain point from 4- 8 on Tuesdays and Thursday,from 3-6 on any other additional day they wanted.

Captain of the rifle team and Co-captain on the color guard team Natasha Marie stated: “I feel sad but at the same time I feel happy because we have time to grow.”
