Christian Dumitru SBHS Drama team posing in excitement for their win in state competition.
Last week Tatiana Balan and the SBHS drama team attended a tournament in Tampa.
“Performing is one of the greatest challenges, but in the end it can also lead to the greatest awards,” said Balan.
Many metals were won for their performances as a team and individuals for State Championships.
The three day event was a stressful time for the team, waiting impatiently to see who wins best performance.
Actors from the SBHS Drama Team study and practice every week; right down till the second they are performing.
Practicing this skill is important to many of these hopeful actors and actresses. Most of them are trying to build a good and strong background for their future career.
“You really have to embody the character you’re playing, therefore it causes you to look at the world differently depending on the background of your character,” said the SBHS junior.
