Agatha Wassermann is a 15-year-old SBHS freshman who grew up in Hollywood, Florida. It’s her first time working on a school newspaper.
“I wanted to pursue journalism to learn about what is happening around the world and in my area and write about it for people to see,” said Wassermann.
Although Wassermann loves learning, she feels being a student is stressful.
“The hardest thing about being a student is finding classes, worrying if you got a good score on your schoolwork, and making sure not to miss the deadline,” she explained.
Her hobbies include drawing, and working out at the gym, and writing poems in her notebook at home.
Last summer, Wassermann traveled to Japan with her family, which opened her eyes to a new experience.
“It was impressive to see four-year-olds walking by themselves in the streets of Japan,” Wassermann said.
Wassermann’s favorite quote is from Anticus Finch from “, To Kill a Mockingbird,” which says: “You will never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”
