Christen Elliot is a 15-year-old sophomore, and he joined this class to get a better understanding of journalism. He grew up mostly in Pembroke Pines Florida, but he has moved around a lot and called many places home. Although friends call him Christen, his family calls him Chris. If he had to choose a favorite movie it would be “Transformers.” He plays soccer and video games for fun. Just like when he was younger he used to play the Wii. He's travelled to Texas, Missouri, & New York. Standing and speaking in front of a group of people gives him plenty of stress and anxiety. One time he was presenting his project to the entire class and his voice cracked.  

Chris says, “The hardest part of being a student is just being a student.” said Elliot.

He likes to spend his weekends hanging out with his cousins. One thing about him no one knows is that his two parents are tall and he’s the short one. He thinks other people see him like he’s dumb or he’s in regular classes but the fact is that he takes all honors classes. He finds nothing funny.

The best compliment he’s received is his mom telling him his hair was nice after he got a haircut.

“I look up to my mom for raising me as a single parent without a father figure," he said. "I think she's very brave.”
