Angelina Popov-Easton, a 17 year old Junior at SBHS is this year's journalism club president. 

“I’m beyond excited to be president this year,” she ecstatically answered when her new position in the journalism club was announced. 

A South Florida native, Popov grew up in Sunrise, Florida before moving to Hollywood in her 7th grade year.

 “It was fine because I made friends at Olsen Middle easily,” said Popov. 

Her favorite musician is Stevie Nicks and her favorite band is Fleetwood Mac. Popov's favorite book as of now is “Flowers for Algernon” which she described as phenomenal. 

“I like to read and my goal is to read 100 books by the end of the year,” she said.

For the past two years, she has worked unbelievably hard to achieve her goal of being the club president. She is an incredible writer who has developed a skill set over the years. 

“I managed to win an award for a story I did last year on Nail Techs in the Hollywood area,” she said.
