James Thomas, 18 years old and a senior at SBHS who took journalism class because he wants to learn more about photography.
He is the youngest of four siblings, including two sisters and a brother. He likes to skateboard and hangout with friends in his free time.
His favorite book is “Rich Dad Poor Dad.”
“It is my favorite book because it teaches me about money and how to use and spend it wisely,” says Thomas.
When he was younger he moved around a lot and kept having to switch schools. This made it hard for him to make friends.
“I could never get used to people because I’d always be moving around,” says Thomas.
But since coming to SBHS four years ago, he’s made a lot of friends.
“My motto in life is that when you give happiness, happiness comes back,” says Thomas.
Last year, he started his own business, washing cars. When he graduates, he plans on moving out of Florida to Texas to continue his business there.
The person he looks up to the most is his dad because he admires how positive his outlook on life is.
“He teaches me valuable life lessons,” says Thomas.
